Audi concert radio safe mode

Hi new here and wondering if anyone could help me! 

I have owned my A3 for 2 years and as I was driving the other day my radio randomly turned off and went into safe mode! I looked in my manual and the security code has been taken out and I haven't been given it when I purchased the car! I called an Audi dealership and they told me there is a £19.99 fee to obtain my security code which I do not agree with paying as it is not my fault I do not have the code! 

What can I do?

Hi Gemma...welcome to the Forum

I would phone another dealership to see if they can issue you a code as I know with Volkswagen (same group of companies) they hand out codes for free.

Thank you Trevor will give that a try! Just don't agree with paying when isn't my fault!

Just called another dealer and they are saying the same car needs to be booked in and is a chargeable fee to obtain the code as car is out of warranty

maybe worth trying a few more until you find one that will supply the code for free
