Squashyman Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Hello Just joined the forum so apologies if this has already been covered. I've got a 2010 Audi A3 with a MMI entertainment unit. I've just upgraded my iPhone from a 4S to an SE and have brought an Audi cable ( 4F0051510AL yellow grommet ) with a lightning connector so the phone can sit in the glove compartment while I play my music. However when I connect the cable the console display is greyed out and therefore doesn't recognise the phone. Having looked at various Audi cables, I'm wondering if mine should have a white grommet (4F0051510AE) rather than a yellow one - can anyone confirm if this is correct? Many thanks
BiPolarGhost86 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 In my experience, some new cables have to be coded in via VCDS. Luck of draw if factory coded it at new.
