stojic Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Hi people, writing for the first time. I am an owner of Audi A1 2015 1.4 TDI for a year and a half an I am allready having problem with starting the car. It happens ocassionaly that the car won´t start properly. And after few times it eventualy starts. How it looks like will describe a video below. Did anyone of you had the same issue and could anyone know what is the problem? Thank you
Trevor Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Sounds like glow plugs are not working efficiently...I would check the resistance across each of them and replace if necessary 1
stojic Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Thanks for your answer. I would check glow plugs ofcours but this is happening only when the engine is hot. On low temperatures it starts with no error.
Trevor Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 sorry, should have noticed that! Would definitely look at the Coolant Temperature Sensor readings then and also the connection going to the sensor
Brad-B5 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Hi, This link could help or answer a few questions? http://www.erareplicas.com/427man/engine/hotstart.htm Regards Bradley 1
stojic Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Thank you very much. This is going to be very helpful. Best regards Slobo
stojic Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 I will try to diagnose it by myself but its under a warranty so I am probably going to visit an official dealer. More updates in future. :) 1
stojic Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 I hope so. This problem occurs very often on this engines, also on VW Polo. According to some previous experiences it could be anything, from flying wheel, starter, fuel injectors up to plugs. Its anoying that this happens on 2015 car with 17000km. :/)
Brad-B5 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Hmm, hopefully Audi will sort it out, frustrating when its practically new! 1
