Sat nav problems

Hi 

just bought a 2007 A4 3.0 Quattro tdi.....love the car but one problem. Sat nav disc doesn't work. Dealership ordered the wrong one. So,

1, can I buy an up to date disc i.e. 2016, 2017? And,

2, is there a specific format I need to buy?

There are plenty of satnav update cards available on eBay but not sure whether you need to programme the new one in.
