Advice needed engine bay

Had a few issue's with our car what we have recently purchased.

Upon noticing an issue with our breaking system which transpired to be a hose for the braking which had been cut. I also noticed that I had wires that aren't connected to anything and almost looks like something is missing from the engine bay.

Can anyone help and advise.

it looks like that loom should be connected to something highlighted in the red circle
