rtorak
Hi, I have got Audi A6 2006 2l diesel. My headlamps are from Audi A6 2009 model, bi xenon led day running lights. Just bought the car few days ago and knowing that, the headlight bulb ( bi-xenon ) didn't work. I taught that it will be simple fix, just changing the bulb. There was condensation inside the headlamp. I did removed the headlamp and clean it up and also applied new seal all over. Then bought new bi-xenon bulb, reconnected and the light still not working. The indicator works, led day running light works, just that headlight not. Checked all fuses and they are fine. Please can someone can advise me what to do. Thank you. Dan3222
I have this upgrade on my car too and it has an intermittent fault, one day it works the next it doesn't!?! Co-figure. I believe it is a loose connection on mine or a faulty relay. But, as on mine I think it's quite common for those light changes to always show there is a fault on the dash. Due to the heat given off with bulbs in this modern age most light units are actually vented now which inevitably lets moisture in. If this happens again, just wrap the light lenses in tinfoil. Turn the lights on for 10-15 mins. It drives the moisture out. A very good tip for the morning of an MOT!! I have had to do the latter on the Tigra every year and one of the Mazdas too.
