WPAWS Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Still have my original Alloys on my 57 plate car and looking a bit worn now, can anyone suggest a site that does either refurb or new alloys at a decent price tyre size is 255 35 zr19 i have looked but just lost in the world of sites selling alloys
Dan3222 Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Just look online to what's local to you, see if there are any reviews on each company and go with them. I followed same advice and found someone localish. Cost £50 a wheel (18's) and got them black powder coated. They look better than new. In fact too good for the tyres so bought new ones!! Lol
WPAWS Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 Thanks for the reply, been in touch with the garage i brought the car from and he has told me he will get them done using the guy he uses for £50 a wheel and will finish them in black for me, so i`m a happy bunny :) was going to do them gray like they are now but think the black will look stylish
Magnet Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Hello Paul, Good move. The local used car sales boys are always the first port of call, since they will certainly know the best sources of local refurbishers. Kind regards, Gareth.
WPAWS Posted May 11, 2017 Author Posted May 11, 2017 i did call a couple of bodyshop guys local but prices varied from £75 to £90 a wheel then it struck me to ask the guy i got the car from to ask who he would use and glad i did now :)

Magnet Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Well done, As I said, it's always worth fostering good relations with your local used car lot boys in any case. These chaps ( and don't they usually get bad press?) don't make an easy living - contrary to the easy formula of selling price minus buying in price equals good profit! Not really so, when overheads and repair expenses are considered. They have to know local sources for paint repairs etc. and their contacts have to do a good job at a reasonable price, so they will know the most reasonable specialists in your area. Always worth popping in for a chat, armed with some biscuits etc. even when you don't need their advice. Kind regards, Gareth.
