Hello all,

My first post, so do forgive me if the answer is obvious. I'm looking at buying a 62 plate Audi A6 Black Edition 2.0 Diesel. The car has done 71,000 miles, so as far as I'm aware, it should have had 3 services and be due another one fairly soon (5,000 miles or so)? In terms of service history, I have records from Audi to show:

PDI (New Sale Event) 28/02/2013
Inspection Service 07/03/2014 @ 20,853
Repair Non-Warranty 07/03/2014 @ 20,853
Interval Inspection 16/03/2015 @ 39,682
Oil Change Service 16/03/2015 @ 39,682
Repair Non-Warranty 16/03/2015 @ 39,682
Warranty 01/12/2015 @ 49,790
Warranty 11/02/2016 @ 51,923
Change of Owner 17/02/2016
Recall Campaign 13/12/2016 @ 69,337
Emissions Technical Measure 13/12/2016 @ 69,337

From this, I can see that there have only been two services at 1 year 20,000 miles, and 2 years 39,000 (So this is inline with the 24 month/19,000 service intervals). Then, there's nothing. However, the car is showing that it is due its next service in 17,900 miles (203 days), and an oil change in 7,900 miles (233 days). Is there a way to see on the car's own system when it was last serviced, as I can't see that it's been 2 years 2 months since its last service, and has covered 31,000 miles, but there's no physical record.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for all your help

T

Check in the service book for any details on last service. It could be as simple as for some reason the Audi system was not updated on last service?

Other reason may be that it was done at an independent garage, hence not on Audi's computer system. If you can't find anything at all though for most recent service I would be tempted to buy another vehicle considering there are so many available. Good luck.

Hi Dan,

Thank you. Unfortunately, the service book is just a pocket for the service sheets that are printed out. What was wrong with having a book to stamp as well as an online history?

Thank you :)

Hhmmm, it's food for thought for any owners getting there cars serviced outside Audi. Could put a lot of people off buying if they don't have proof of services!
