HELP CAM BELT IDLER BOLT SNAPPED

Hi i tryed drilling out the bolt but no luck what would happen if the idler pulley was left off cheers

Hi Yaz, 

i believe you can damage the engine by not having the idle pulley. 

Could you not call out a mobile mechanic to try and sort it?

Basically i have had to drill it out but have tryed to rethread it and put in threadlock but when i have come to tighten the pulley its fallen off again il post a pic

I think your only option is to have the hole helicoiled now. I doubt you can go up a size in bolt?
