Rear inner taillight bulb replacement

Hi guys - the bulb has gone on my A6 Avant rear taillight.

I can't seem to find any guides on how to replace it - do I have to take the whole light out like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XEYAWx95L0 or is there an easier way to replace the bulb?

If I have to take out the whole light is it easy to change the bulb when you have the light? The video above doesn't give any more information.

it looks like when you remove the trim and securing bracket you should be able to just removed the bulb holder unit whilst the lamp in still in place.

Nice post as this saves me some time looking as in due cause i plan on replacing both my inner light holders as looking a bit old and dull :)
