Baggy Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I have a dash cam but it's to use as evidence if I am in an accident, I'm not sure I would use it to send footage to the police. Would you? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-40996609/motorists-using-dash-cams-to-inform-on-dodgy-drivers 1
Trevor Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 makes for interesting viewing if nothing else, lol The problem with Dash Cams is that they can also condemn your driving as well...speed, positioning, courtesy, etc....not to mention the bad language I use when driving Don't think I would share mine
niedzial1983 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I like this idea . How many times when driving some idiot will put you or other users in danger and you think if only a police car was around... 1

This is true, there have been many times whilst driving I've gone only if I had a dash cam lol or only if the police was around!
niedzial1983 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Every dash cam has pc software that lets you turn off/on speed sound etc ... before exporting the video 😉
Steve Q Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 They are a good idea. As I feel the level of driving is getting worse in the uk! They're supposed to help reduce your insurance as well! ;)
Brad-B5 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 @niedzial1983 you done this before by any chance? XD @Steve Q indeed it is, and the insurance thing is deffo something that attracts me.

Baggy Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 I have the Nextbase 112. Some insurance companies have reduced insurance for Nextbase cameras. It records in 3 minute videos and overwrites when the card is full. It has collision detection so locks the current video if in an accident. It also starts recording if your car moves like someone hitting it in a car park. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=306753&productId=1283126&storeId=10001 1
