Bex13 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Hello Everyone, I am new to the site but wondered if anyone has experienced a similar problem.. I was driving down a lane yesterday in 4th gear when car started juddering, loss of power managed to roll to a lay by it cut out. The engine was turning over but would not start. RAC came car showed no faults at all!!! This has happened before but the injector was opened and the car started and was fine for months until yesterday; the car will not start at all this time?? Can anyone help please? Thank you
niedzial1983 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Hey bex I think you should take your car to audi specialist for a vag com scan . Rac equipment is good enough for road help but not dedicated to audi. Vag com may show faults and also injrctors presure values with can then determine if they are ok. Also for clarity what year , engine is your car ? 2
Dan3222 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Piotr gives good advice here, plus would be helpful for a bit more detail. My guess is fuel filter needs changing or tandem fuel pump is playing up. 1

Bex13 Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Hello, Thank you for your replies. My car is 2008 (58 new face lift shape) 2.0 diesel (143). It has had a new fuel filter; I had this problem a few months ago, and it's been fine ever since until yesterday. The last time it happened it had a more in depth diagnostic but still no fault! Wondering if it could be fuel pressure sensor but would still expect a fault code .... 😩 Fuel pressure is 300 bar??
Magnet Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Hello Becci, There might be another school of thought that you may be better off finding a local diesel specialist to look at this for you. They are more often better equipped and knowledgeable on diesels than the main dealer. Usually the local 4x4 enthusiasts are a good source of recommendation for a good specialist to consult. Kind regards, Gareth.
Juris Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Check fuel pipes near the fuel filter!!!! Its seems that problem can be there! Sorry for my english!!
