danslemans Posted October 4, 2017 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Hi, I am new to owning diesels, can I just ask, with the 3.0 tdi, when it is running from cold, is it normal that the passenger side bank runs a bit more clatter (minimal just a different tone / note when you listen closely to the other bank and just wondered if that was normal. It could be a cam chain rattle on start There were 3 versions of 3.0tdi in a6 c6 Bmk - chain issues ASB - chain issues fixed CDYA - facelifted model What year is your a6 ? danslemans Posted October 5, 2017 Author Share Posted October 5, 2017 Yes, it was just serviced and had a checkup on all recorded faults and issues and the only thing that came up was a inlet manifold motor on bank 2 and an earth issue with the passanger side engine mounting.
