big al 83
Can anyone tell me what the signs are if the flywheel is about to die. The clutch seems to be ok it's just a vibration every now and then under load. 4th _5th foot to the boards. The car has been remapped. Cheers folks. Shortie1979
From experience you can normally hear it! when the engine is idling in nautral, if you can hear a rattling noice that goes when you press the clutch then it is on its way out! big al 83
There's no noise at all, just a vibration that lasts for a second or two. It only happens when under high torque loads and in a high gear.

DMFs are notorious to be rubbish on any car and when you have a mapped engine and plant your foot in a high gear it's just too much for them to handle. I would just be a bit more driver friendly on the flywheel especially as it's gotta deal with even more power. I could be wrong but just my 2p worth
big al 83
That sounds about right. I'll just have to resist flooring the throttle.
