cbr900
Thanks for that. What I really want to know is the likely labour cost. Can anyone help.

Magnet
Hello Roger, I would certainly agree with Paul's advice on this. I notice you are in France, and it is reasonable to assume that there is unlikely to be a great dal of experience of labour rates over there. Without wishing to appear unhelpful, isn't it simply a case of telephoning your local Audi dealer, an independent ( if you have such a thing) and your local garagist. The answer you want should come from this route. Kind regards, Gareth.
cbr900
I have had a quote from my local Audi dealer for 800€ for parts and labour, and I was making the enquiry as that seemed extortionate to me. Unfortunately I don't know of any local independents and because it is so close to Xmas and we are making a trip to the U.K. next week I'm almost obliged to accept it. Bugger! darrenritchie1984
Just bought a bearing from eBay £30 and had it fitted for £
cbr900
Had this work done by the local Audi dealer. Bearings were €200 each side! Labour however was only €58 hr, so you win some ,you lose some.
