Tommie Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Why has the Audi A4 convertable 2ltr tdi im looking at got a Saab engine ???. Confussed ???
WPAWS Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 As a guess i would say the original engine broke beyond repair and someone has some how fitted a saab engine, i may be completely wrong but thats my guess are you sure its a saab engine?
Trevor Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Never heard of that one before...I know a lot of manufacturers share engines but not heard of a tie-up between Saab/Vauxhall and Audi
Tommie Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 Grrrr dealer had wrong picture on his web site. No wonder i was confussed. 1
Steve Q Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Glad it's sorted Tommie. I can confirm that there was never an engine sharing agreement between the VAG group and Saab. Saabs engines were old designs if I recall and the 1.8 petrol was loosley the same engine as was in the triumph dolomite Sprint!
