  2. Hi All I just joined today, partly because I have a problem with my 1999 A3 1.8t quattro. Yesterday I had the cam belt replaced, and the garage also replaced the other tensioners and the water pump and replaced all the coolant. Last night, I did a 20 mile journey and when I switched off the engine, the radiator fans kept going. After about 15 minutes and a bit of panic-induced googling, I disconnected the battery. I spoke to the garage this morning, as it seemed too much of a coincidence that this should happen on the first journey after the work they had done. I was told 'well, it's an old car and these things happen' I would have been more willing to accept this, if they hadn't done a less than brilliant job on fixing an electric window the week before, and to be honest, I have lost faith in them, even though they were recommended. I know nothing about cars, so I have to rely on people I feel I can trust, so I am throwing this out there to see if anyone has any advice. From the little I read, it seems that it could be a small job or a big expensive job to put right. Thanks in advance for your help with this, and please excuse the ramble - I'm a newbie!

  3. Hi guys, It feels good to be part of the club! I own an RS5 Coupé and I've noticed that the rear speakers of the car have stopped working. I am wondering if anyone has an idea of what I can check before having to remove the panels to take a closer look at the speaker? Cheers guys

  4. Hi all I have just joined and am hoping that I can get some good advice from fellow A3 owners. I have a 1999 A3 1.8t quattro, which I bought last november, for £700.00 It's a little flying machine, and I absolutely love it, but have had some issues recently and would appreciate some help. Not sure of the protocol, but I guess I'll post a topic and see where I get with it. Cheers Jess

  5. Hi all, Im new here and currently own an Astra Sxi 2001, 5 door, 1.6 petrol. Has served me well but was time for a change. I have just purchased a 2005 Audi A4 S line, 2.0 Tdi (140), 42k, full black/grey leather interior, in metallic black with anthracite RS4 alloys (the 5 spoke ones, dunno if they are RS4 or s line standards), Full audi service history, full years tax, MOT for 12 months. It was bought from a garage and i wondered how much you reckon it should be worth at garage prices? The car is gleaming and a facelift model. Been looking at quite a few but none had history and milage like this one, plus the outside being grey/black perfectly matches the inside and looks cool. I just had it the moment i saw it. I dont get to pick it up until tomorrow so will post plenty of pics when i get it home. Cheers, Kev.

  6. Hi, Looking to sell my K reg Audi 80 2.0 E Auto with Private Reg (Irish) I've owned the car for 16 years so have loads of history and all MOT's. Currently SORN as I do not use the car. I start her every week and move it. Open to offers as not sure what its worth? Runs and drives but I'm selling as spare or repair as not currently MOT'd or taxed? Email me and I'll send you my number. Too good to scrap! Photos available. Have family in north west so may be able to arrange collection from there if buyer would cover some costs??? Thanks
