Hello I have a 3.0 tdi 2007 avant and every time it gets cold (i.e. winter) the ignition key does everything except crank the engine. If I don't put my foot on the clutch pedal i get the usual info. The glow plug lights etc all do their usual thing. Only after many attempts does it finally crank and start.
And so far according to Audi there are NO faults stored.
Any ideas …. this is the third year now and it is getting worse
My 1996 Audi a4 will start as normal from cold eg first thing in the morning and sometimes on short journeys ( no more than twenty mins) but when its hot I get nothing from the key it doesn't seem to take power when trying to start eg lights doesn't dim and stereo stays on but it will bump start fine indicating to me it's not an mobiliser fault??
Any ideas could it be the cts saying the temp is wrong preventing the engine to crank or possibly a relay between the key and starting motor
Any help is appreciated thankyou
as title says, mine has some damage to which it would be better to change the whole rear bumper
preferably local to west midlands if possible
edit: also wanted...
glovebox, in dark grey
genuine tow hook (to fit in tool box)
left foot rest
many thanks
