First one was a 2005 A6 3.0TDI SE Manual and now i currently have a 2006 3.0TDI S Line LeMans Auto. The gearbox in the manual was shockingly bad so went for a auto. So far on the LeMans I have had a remap, 4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 3's and they are so sticky it's amazing. Changed the whole character of the car. Took it round the Nurburgring so put a sticker on the back ;) I've just ordered a RS6 Style honeycomb grill but without the RS6 badge. Windows are Tinted and I want to get the lights smoked too. I have also ordered a big Quattro badge for the bottom of the grill. It's all debadged from new except the two main Audi badges. I'm after a Milltek exhaust and anything else to get some more power gains . . . If you have any ideas please tell me

  2. Hello Marc, I think you are being wise in questioning this issue, since the consequence of actual low oil pressure can be serious. Perhaps it would be useful to have some basic information, and as simple as it may sound, confirmation that the oil is up to the required level. Yes, a bit basic, but you cannot ignore the fact that not enough oil was put in, or indeed there isn't an oil leak at the filter, drain plug or somewhere else. You will also need to know what grade if oil has been used and to let us know what mileage this engine has done. All things being equal, it could - just could - be as simple as a suspect oil pressure switch, but your really do need to get the actual oil pressure measured with a gauge to know exactly where you are with this. Assuming correct oil level and grade, no leaks, then I think there is some urgency in getting the actual pressure checked. Hope some of this helps and you are able to let us know. Good luck with it. Kind regards, Gareth.

  3. Audi do sell the seals separately. It's a rubber o ring and costs £4.80 plus vat. Parts guy told me it's very common that the seal is at fault but because of the labour involved they only recommend replacing the entire unit to their customers which including fitting is over £1000. Replaced the seal and the car has stayed up over night ever since

  5. Update! Front suspension done! Brakes done! Temperature sensor done (nothing wrong with it, thermostat is stuck open)! Wheels and tyres done and I can now travel at over 60mph without my teeth falling out! Waiting on cash to buy the rear arms (the one with camber adjust) and to fund the garage time. Booked in for thermostat and water pump (pump history unknown, might as well do it while the front is off for the thermostat as it's a known weak link) Replacement stereo went in today, I think the car side wiring has been messed with several times as some wires don't go to the pin they're labelled as on internet diagrams. Either this or the amp out back doing sub and rears isn't working. Might check the fuse box.... Always open to tips and opinions.

  8. It was only the bottom of engine area Audi replaced with new parts due to oil chain pump failure destroying that area of engine. But it as I said Audi uk says this current oil consumption is normal. But I mite contact them again maybe.
