  1. Hello Rich, Welcome to the forum from the homeland. Hopefully someone wil be able to give you specific information on this, but I would ask two questions:- did the demonstrator behave the same under test? - and have you tried another example of the same engined model? I just wonder if this particular car has been subjected to the dreaded emissions adjustment, and perhaps the demonstrator hadn't been tinkered with. Option to resolve this in the mind would be to go to another Audi dealer and test drive their car (leaving yours conveniently out of sight!), but the bottom line is it does not appear to be driving as it should, and they need to sort for you. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.

  2. Hi Juggati, yes in the end it was the boot lock which was full of water due to the leaking rear washer pipe. We took the lock out, dried it, sealed the hole in the washer pipe and it's been fine ever since. Hope this helps and hope you get yours sorted soon. Thanks for your help guys.

  3. Ok, took some pics. I think the turbo is down the back of the engine. Ive taken a few pics. Also tested my N75 pressure valve using my Foxwell and it seems to be ok. I think its a case of Mr Muscle to the rescue, lol.

  4. Hi Rich..welcome to the Forum I absolutely agree with Gareth, and it doesn't sound right...not with modern day vehicles, any sort of lag would have been designed out of the drivetrain programming and should therefore allow the car to drive faultlessly. I would follow Gareths' suggestion of trying another one to compare them. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

  5. I also read about the chain stretch but it seems to be such a rare problem that you only hear about the 1 or 2 that do happen. As far as servicing is concerned if you have a decent independant mechanic you know then it is what they charge for the job. For context I had a quote from Audi dealer Robinsons for the full works service, when I first got my 3.2, at around £540, my usual mechanic did it for £160 but that was mainly a standard service with no whistles and bells like Audi would probably throw in. Mileage was 79k when i got mine, its at 84k now as I do so few miles in it second car and all that and I paid £5k for it with full service history and paperwork for all jobs done. As with most Audis its lasting well and I don't regret buying it as a stand in car. In the end it depends what you want to do with it, it is not very modifiable if you want additional power. The stereo is pre smart phone and will probably cost to change from single din to double to get a lovely new stereo sat nav etc unit. Small niggles however if you are not worried about power or you are not an audiophile. All in all it's a great cruiser and works well for me.

  9. My verdict on this Audi A4 2.0 tfsi 187bhp 2016 hire car vs my 07 2.0 tfsi Manuel quattro 22bhp. I love the keyless entry n dashboard tech but..... as a drivers vehicle my old car much better 😅 this cars auto box is noticeable between gear changes which off putting especially when flooring it, the breaks not as good as mines don't feel direct n a bit of a delay (not sure if prev people's ragging it). Bang & Olufsen's loudspeakers are weird they are super loud but at full power the treble tweeters struggle making that funny buzz noise my car never does that or rarely (with the Bose My cars faster (by 2 secs) and the awd Quattro grip is night n day to front wheel drive car/this 2016 car 3-5 rating mostly for the tech prefer mines and that's not even bias.

  10. Could be related to dieselgate. If it's had the recall the mpg will be shocking. Does it have adblue for the dpf? If not it will be dumping extra fuel in when regenerating the dpf which isn't covered when the official mpg figures are released. My suggestion would be to get it remapped, for economy if that's your main focus or a mixed one for power/economy will still see improvements. There are of course other things. Like filters and sensors, etc. A dodgy temp sensor or maf, etc will affect fuel economy but would likely throw a fault. You could get it plugged in for a check if you don't have the software yourself.

  11. Hello Adie, I don't think I am going to be of much use to you with knowledge of this particular model, but generally fronts are less complicated than rears if the rears have electric hand brakes. What I would say is to buy wisely as far as the parts are concerned, and in this respect my first port of call would be main dealer parts at a dealer who would give you a discount - they are about. Of course, you can buy some aftermarket pads and discs much cheaper, but will they give you the braking efficiency and service life of the genuine VAG parts? Generally no, in my experience if you buy on price. If you have to buy aftermarket then it may be worth considering EBC or Brembo (perhaps only?) Regarding whipping it around to Kwik Fit - it is possible that they may order the parts from the local motor factors on a best- buy basis, so I would be careful there, and indeed at any garage. I would be further aware that there are brands of pads and discs which were once very much respected, but are now just bought-out brand names. Not sure how much of this is going to help you Adie, but my advise would be to go for the best parts at the best price. Kind regards, Gareth.

  12. HI there, My new A6 isn't proving to be within the manufacturers claims also but again, I'm not that fussed as I'm still getting a great furl return and can easily clear over 600-miles before filling up. My car to date, has only covered 2000 miles so its still breaking but every time I fill up, the Miles to Empty figure is over 700-miles with the highest display being 795 Miles to empty....of course I could not achieve that. I mainly do 12-mile round trips to and from work but every fortnight, I travel up to the West Midlands which pending on my route is a round trip of 320-miles. I picked the car up, unregistered with 21-miles on the clock and a full tank of fuel. I use a Road Trip APP on my phone and below are what is giving me between filling-up; Filled Up - At 21 Miles / Cost Unknown as was done by Dealer. Filled up - At 666 Miles / £79.47 / 44.83 MPG Filled up - At 1366 Miles / £87.98 (BP Ultimate Diesel) / 48.44 MPG Filled up - At 1995 Miles / £80.93 / 43.07 MPG

  13. Update I've taken my car to another Audi in Essex to see if they find any problems as a 2nd opinion. At 1st re oil lights they didn't want anything to do with it and told me to bring it back to Audi Chingford but.... I've talked the person into at least investigating my Cliams of oil lights/oil leaking he replied we will see what we can do so I can only take that as a positive that they may or may not find an issue regarding oil in my car. Fingers crossed they find the fault as my warranty ends April 2017 re engine rebuild at Audi Chingford re oil chain pump failure. I even printed and gave Audi Essex a dossier break down of my three oil lights and pictures of the dashboard warnings and underneath the car what looked to me like oil patches.

  14. Hello Tom, Welcame to the forum. I too have tried all the techniques I can find listed and none have worked for me. I might point out that I was trying to recode one of the two original remotes supplied new with the car, and of course have no doubt about its origin. I have resigned myself to having to get this recoded at a main dealer if I want it to lock and unlock remotely, but I haven't done so up till now. Incidentally, does anyone know of a good independent near to Cardiff? Kind regards, Gareth.

  15. Is it 3 or 5 door? Looks like a 5. Looking at picture can presume nearside rear. Dont know if this is of any use. Just need to identify the panel a bit more. You might be able to search individual product codes to check that it is the part. https://www.partslink24.com/vwag/audi_parts/group.action?catalogMarket=RDW&episType=646&familyKey=91159&lang=en&localMarketOnly=true&maingroup=8&modelYear=2010&ordinalNumber=2&partDetailsMarket=RDW&restriction1=92388&startup=false&mode=K00U0DEXX&upds=1157

  16. OK here goes, bought Vag Com and Vag Tacho including various softwares from Ebay, waste of money and time, sent the ECU to a place called http://www.ecutesting.com/ charged me 144£ inc VAT to have the need for a code removed from the ecu totally, now i can swap my dials, ignition barrel, whatever without the worry of tripping the immobilizer. Money i get the blue rocket back on the road and not a moment too soon, next thing is fit the new 18" alloys i just got, get the water pump and cam done and finally suspension all around.... can't wait.

  17. Hi mate, I just got my A3 this week and just purchased one of these, it comes with an aux yes but still charges through the lightning, haven't tried playing music yet but I just use bluetooth for that. It does say its for the iPhone 6 but as said still works for charging and I'm guessing the aux would work for any phone? Much better price too! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161705252317?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
