  1. Just been down your route and wanted to load the payment onto a CC to get the reward points. Dealer I used would only take £1000 on CC due to the Charges they suffer. Your dealer might be more understanding as you are looking to take out Audi finance. I chose not to going for a 3.4% APR deal from a supermarket bank.

  2. So sold a Kidney and splashed out a bit. No more Vauxhall Insignificant for me. S-Line 2.0 litre devil juice burner with the 7 speed Auto. Quattro MMI with Tech Pack and DIS. Heated front seats. Have to say I am well happy. Not only with the Car but also with the Sales and Service peeps at Swindon Audi.

  3. Thanks Trevor: Car is beyond my expectations. Was looking at the BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar alternatives but spec and price added up to this one.

  4. With regards to this topic, my wife got a recall letter about 8 months ago regarding her 2010 2.0TDI TT, stating that it was affected with the said scandal and that she would be contacted with regards to taking her car for the emissions update. We have received one letter since, about 3 months ago stating that they hadn't forgotten about the car and we would be contacted soon. After reading the many posts on here with regards to problems/issues Audi owners have been experiencing after the so-called "it wont affect anything update", does anybody know what the legal stance is on refusing the said update because all it seems like to me is problems and ridiculous excuses. Regards Paul

  5. Hi Vanessa: You have Start / Stop technology on your A6? Are you sure it is not his causing the engine to "cut out"? Would need more detail of circumstances to be certain. What do you do when you have stopped and the engine is stopped - attempt a restart with the start / stop button? Does this take 2 presses?

  6. Looks like it was well-known issue to cause #vwemissions problems since the update, since 2015 and #vw #vag #audi choose to play dumb http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2015/09/heres-might-cost-fix-vw-car/

  7. I have just finished removing the old drive shaft and fitting the new one.. wasnt actually too bad - a little fiddly but okay. Took me 3 hours but a lot of that was hunting for correct tools!! pleased to say the shuddering has now gone! I'm so relieved! The inside cv joint was absolutely shagged! Thanks everyone for your help!

  9. Hello Alison, Sorry to hear of your problems. As Trevor points out, this does not appear to be untypical after this recall, and I would think there isn't any doubt that the car is no longer what it was in terms of its performance - and I would anticipate, it's economy. Re, on one else has complained!? -well there are a couple on on this forum as I recall, and if it were mine I think I would be scanning the VW and Skoda forums and listing those who are discontent. Might be an idea to do this before ringing your contact. I fear you may not get very far with this, but this may be rather pessimistic and let's hope I'm wrong, and you can get the sense you deserve. If I'm right, it would be interesting to ask the question of simply returning the car's performance to what it originally was, and pointing out that if the car had been taken to the dealer for routine servicing and had been returned with a decreased performance then you would expect them to rectify whatever the fault was - reasonable question I think. Final positive point - if all else fails, would it be possible to have the car mapped back to its original performance? Not my field, but perhaps Trevor and others could comment on this possibility. Perhaps you could let us know how things pan out. Kind regards, Gareth.
