  1. That's excellent guys. I've put my car up for sale now for £11,000 so if you know anyone that is interested then you can tell people 😁.

  4. I doubt if it is a faulty injector but if it is anything like a diesel injector with seals, then it maybe a case of an injector not being seated / sealed correctly (if removed) when refitted?

  5. I will try to diagnose it by myself but its under a warranty so I am probably going to visit an official dealer. More updates in future. :)

  6. On my A4 the fixing bracket that holds all the mechanism in plcae snapped just as i was leaving home during heavy rain. The drivers side wiper arm dissappeared under the bonnet and bent. The car at the time was still under warrenty so after a few phone calls and pictures i got the go ahead to get it sorted. My friend owns a vat registered mot garage so he sorted everything out with the warranty company but i fitted the new mechanism. Point is i took the old one off and replaced it with the new one just as you did with your old one,a straight swapped plug and play So i cnnot understand how your issue has arisen, as basically youve have only pulled the plug off.

  7. Hi Jordan If you get a diag on it I can imagine it will show up as a vacuum leak, see if any of the pipes going to the turbo are fine and not split, if they are split it could course the turbo to fall into limp mode, if they seem fine then i would as Trevor has said be the turbo. 10. Wouldn't even hazzard a guess without running a scan on the ECU first. Could be a range of things causing the poor running fault

  13. Sounds like glow plugs are not working efficiently...I would check the resistance across each of them and replace if necessary

  14. Maybe considered rather OTT, but with a reasonable period of time already given to sort this out, and the evidence of the frequency in general discontent with these upgrades, I might just think about taking the resolution to the small claims court. Of course, it might not be a small claim, since one could argue that they have rendered your car/s unusable (safely) and as such the claim would be for reimbursement of the market value of the car, or the cost to get it independently repaired/returned to its previous serviceable condition. Whether this claim is made against VAG or the dealer who carried out the update ( the dealer I guess) is open to debate. VAG have understandably already been subjected to criticism over the whole issue - which has resulted in the need for these so called updates. To my mind, it is now time for some publicity in respect of round 2 citing such cases as yours where these updates cause issues which were not present before. Have you considered taking this to the national press or consumer programmes such as Watchdog? Good luck with getting getting this sorted, although it should not depend on luck. Kind regards, Gareth.
