Hey Guys, thanks for all the advice. I played with it over the weekend and I thought it might be the Ignition Module, so I have one on its way to try. However, I am now starting to think it might be a fuel issue. I will let you know, but if you have any other thoughts they will be most appreciated. In the meantime, here is a picture! Best regards Stuart2 points

Hi. Same thing here. same "coincidence" ... Seems to be a lot of coincidences after the fix... For the last 4 years, no low-cost Diesel. Only Premium and always serviced in Audi, even after end of warranty. Now , 2 months after emissions fix, on the 120,000km service maintenance they tell me that needs replacement of Injector nr 4 and ask for 900€! I've made a complaint to Audi and left a bad feedback on the call after the service. Let's wait and see what comes next. But one thing is for sure, if I still had any confidence on VW/Audi brand, now it's considerably less...1 point

Hello Trevor, thank you for your reply! I have asked a local mechanic this morning, and he said he would recommend sticking to the same one... but I am going to look further into this 👍It's a shame because I've found a s3 transfer box for half the price of the one I need 👎 I'm hoping to get it back on the road soon, as haven't had it that long, I also need to put on my Audi owners stickers that I haven just ordered 😊 Will keep you updated! Thanks again.1 point

I always ran Intercontinental Sports contact 3 and very happy with them in terms of grip and durability...but probably one of the more expensive options tbh1 point

Hi Josh...welcome to the Forum sorry to hear you've had problems already and a transfer box is quite a major one to start with. My advice is to try to find the exact one or if a later one does fit and work okay (worth checking with a specialist rebuilder, etc) as it may have improvements on the earlier spec box. Keep us update on this one Cheers Trevor1 point

Don't have a dash cam but believe it's not picking satellites up. Going to check the connections but have looked at the antena on eBay and the wires are very short so don't go to the drive directly. I have removed the interior light underneath the fin and followed the cables but the connections are under the head liner so need to drop it to investigate further. My car has a panaramic sunroof and have been told the drain pipes can leak so will check with a borascope for signs of water. I put a new map disc in and updated the software when I got the car but I'm unsure how they managed to get the nav to know where it was when I collected it from them. I want to put it back on them to sort but the quality of some of the work they have done to it isn't the best and I don't want a "bodge" fix.1 point

You might get some specific responses if you tell us which Audi you have mate? Is it stock or have a few things been done already? Do you want to upgrade looks and or performance?1 point

I have just looked at several threads on th UK-mkIVs site and 9/10 times it seems to be the sensor. One guy said use a genuine oil filter. Hope this helps1 point

She looks really straight on the outside and just run in on the inside. What a nice car. regarding the oil light, for how much a sensor would cost I would start with that first. It's amazing on more modern cars the sensors fail giving us heart attacks and the actual feature they are monitoring is just fine. Isn't a yellow light or a red light that comes on? however, in the mean time don't drive too far in her just in case it is right. You might be needing a new pump. Replacing an oil pump is cheaper than an engine.1 point

I had a major service on my Audi A1 on the 24th March. As soon as I picked it up it felt wrong. A few days later the first of the warning lights (engine start malfunction) came on then went. The car was losing power, the engine was juddering when stopped at traffic lights. Then the alternator warning light came on. Several phone calls to Audi and a formal complaint later they agreed to give me an urgent appointment for the car to be looked at and a courtesy car. That morning I started the car and the steering was knackered! Now they're saying it's the alternator pulley that's gone and it's mechanical and nothing to do with the emissions update because that's only a software update. It's going to cost over £650 to repair. I've asked if they've checked the EGR valve and they haven't yet. I find it hard to believe that this is just a freak coincidence that my car has broken down completely such a short time after they had my car, especially given the initial symptoms match all of those others have suffered above. At the very least if it's nothing to do with the update it's negligent that during a major service they failed to notice something wrong with the alternator pulley. I have no idea when it comes to cars, so does anyone know if a problem with the EGR could lead to alternator problems? Or has anyone else experienced this? Anyone considering allowing Audi to do the update: DON'T! It's just another ploy for them to swindle you of even more money.1 point

You could look at later style headlamps (see link) http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A4-S4-RS4/Headlight-Assemblies/44240 and a selection of rear lamps to choose from http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A4-S4-RS4/Rear-Light-Assemblies/442621 point

Been thinking about upgrading my head lights and tail lights but not sure which style to go with any ideas?1 point

I have also had the same EGR fault happen immediately after the update, my local Audi main dealer quoted £1370 to replace it with no assistance from Audi UK on this and a definite refusal that it has anything to do with the update - but as a gesture of good will they would reduce it by £200 - not at all happy with this and intend to go further in pursuit of my complaint. I don't believe it happens to be coincidence, especially as I always use premium fuels and have my car regularly serviced and properly maintained above the what is required.1 point
