Hello there my name's Mark and I recently purchase an Audi A6, I got the car in December last year from Car-giant, I was looking for the right one for just over 2 months, when I saw this come up on there site I was the first to see it, test drive it then buy it, It had only 31000 miles on the clock with the latest service being done at 27000 miles Car details Audi A6 Special Edition (LeMans) 2.0TDI now with 33500 miles 7 speed auto Audio is the MMI 3G low Since buying it I have added a few little extras Front S-line badge for the grill Lemans badge for the rear Audi 12v blank for the rear instead of cigarette lighter Audi LED number plate bulbs (no warning error on dash with these Vagcom and changed/added a few extras like... Gauge sweep onscreen reverse sensor location Scandinavian light setting....so the rear Led lights are on with DRL Lap timer Boost gauge Hidden menu Seat belt warning...I always wear my belt but at my work I have to get out to open a gate and there's no point putting the belt on to drive 20 yards after that Latest work...as of yesterday had the car fully serviced and cambelt and water pump changed all with genuine Audi car parts from a local garage I have used for years You may ask why I got the belt done as I think the book suggest's it being changed at 114000 or something, really it was just for peace of mind as I've always had belts done at either 60000 of 5 years and as this is 7 years old now I felt it was a must Changed the H11 fog bulbs this morning to match the LED's a bit more with the coming home lights Booked into Audi for the emission update next week also a free health check Now picture's From the website before I brought it Hope you like1 point

Hi Guys, I have a 2009 A3 1.6TDI. Had the emissions update 27.02.17. On 03/04/17 I was travelling between 60-70mph when the car juddered and went into limp mode. The engine light came on and it was subsequently diagnosed with a faulty fuel injector at £550. It could be just coincidence but after reading up on other issues people have experienced I'm beginning to think the update has something to do with it. The car has run beautifully since I've owned it and has cost me nothing apart from expected servicing and general wear and tear. Any ideas how to progress with this?1 point

Nice to see you've got some good/subtle plans :) don't know whether you've seen the info on the Audis in the park event which is happening on Sunday 13th august at Deenes park in Corby, Northamptonshire. Just wondering if you'd be interested in displaying your a6 at the event? We have 3 members so far but need 12 for the display. Cheers Steve1 point

Hello Derek welcome to the forum :) Inwould imagine (but don't quote me) that a tracker would have to be fitted by a professional so in order to be valid for the insurance company. Also with regard to reverse cameras, many companies offer them such as kenwood and pioneer. I think it will also depend on what size screen you want and where it will fit on the dash. It also depends on how much you want to spend. I mean for example you can get a rear view mirror monitor from Halfords for £60. Hope that helps cheers Steve1 point

Welcome to the club from a fellow newbie. Sorry to hear your having issues already. Has your car had an oil flush? I had an issue with my diesel A6 where it said low oil pressure. Flushed the system and put in new oil and it was ok. I believe the "oil pressure low" light and "oil level" light are different. Hace you got a picture of your dash and light which may help the more experienced members on here? Hope you get to the bottom of it soon. Cheers Steve1 point

"Stucked" is that a typo? Just love autocorrect sometimes. turbos on these cars are a very common failure. Key sign that turbo is on its way out (fault codes indicate that) is limp mode that resets itself when you switch car of and then start it up again, all should be well. If it occurs frequently then you have choice to:- clean turbo. Many products available but you need to clean both sides or turbo really for it to be affective. Not so easy to do on the hot side!?! rebuild ou turbo with a new core get a refurbed unit ( my recommendation) get a new one (big 💰) Your car looks lovely and is definately worth spending on. I have recently done just this on my T5 except I upped the turbo size from 130 BHP to 174bhp. Did the work myself with a total cost of £300. I bought a referb Garret unit. hope that helps a bit.1 point

Russian roulette mate. Probably the most important bit of rubber on your car. Rather pay £600 now than 2.5k in 6 months time. But then that is only my opinion. Plus I would do it myself so I would only have the cost of the items. why not try a few independent garages that are VAG specialists, might save some 💰1 point

Had a call today and all good news ,they have acknowledged there is an issue although not sure what that the root cause is and have also checked the driver side and also beginning to show signs of the same thing although not nearly as bad and will replace all the rears light clusters. Now driving round in a diesel q3 150bhp for a couple of days which is actually surprisingly nippy 😆. Great customer service from Audi in Hitchin so top marks to them. Cheers Martin1 point

I say don't waste your money. For me the SD based Sat Nav (at least) is in my opinion very inferior to what you'll get from, say, Google Maps on your phone to the point that, whilst I have the Audi SD based Sat Nav, I choose to use my phone instead. My experience with Audi's implementation is it's embarrassingly slow to set up a destination and has demonstrated some bizarre routing choices. Only nice feature is the automatic offer to navigate to the nearest petrol station it's aware of if fuel gets really low. Voice recognition via the MMI is also far inferior (both recognition performance and options for what you can say) to what I get from my phone in the car (in my case Android) You can get something like this to neatly 'install' your phone in your A3 :-) https://www.audiphoneholder.com/1 point
