  1. Hello Tom, Good to hear you are concerned to do the right thing in respect of cambelt changes. A couple of questions:- What date (year) was the belt changed when the mileage was 75K? What make parts were used at the last change- Audi, or aftermarket (what make if so?) and was the water pump changed at the same time, and if so, again what make? Kind regards, Gareth.

  3. i already have a trip planned although its 2 years away when my son will then be 6, i`m taking him to the Scottish Highlands a 10 hour drive or so although i have thought about our 1st road trip together to Snowdonia National Park which is on about 4 hours away when he is 5, could do that in a day there and back with time to look around he can always sleep on the way home.

  5. The glow plug only operates at low temperatures, less than 5 degrees I would guess, so you shouldn't see the warning light at all in summer. Quite what that means for you in terms of fault finding I know not, but I doubt it can be related to the particulate filter unless there is a more generalised electronic problem.

  7. Welcome to the forum :) You can't go wrong with a stainless steel exhaust. This will make the car sound sporty :) other mods to make it look nice is lowering it on sports suspension kit which will lower the car by around 30mm or coilovers which will lower the car and give a stiffer ride. Linked with this you can't go wrong with a nice set of alloy wheels. Normally 17 or 18 inch wheels are good :) Oh and have a quick look on google images or our club gallery for some inspiration :) hope iv helped cheers steve :)

  8. Hi everyone Already posted this in the new members area but thought I'd post it in the right place. I am in the process of purchasing an Audi A4 2.0Tdi Multitronic Black Edition. I would like to know how I can differentiate between MMI 3G, 3G+ and HDD. First time owning an Audi so don't have a clue!

  9. I haven't so this isn't through experience of having one fitted, Sorry but anything that will allow better air flow will (should do anyway) help increase power or help with MPG and with the engine breathing better it may also Make the engine quieter and smoother. Shouldn't be classed as a mod unless theres is a performance gain (add more BHP) such as a Remap or tuning ect. NOTE: Not through having it done, hopefully someone who has had it done replies. Hope this helps :)
