I recommend the Logitech g27 racing wheel not too expensive these days was when I bought it new 😬 It provides force feed back so if you hit anything or your on a bumpy road surface the wheel will vibrate and try and pull the car in different directions. I'm a soul pc gamer too but only really play simulator games I should really get in to some first person shooter games 😂1 point

@Brad-B5 I play mostly car related stuff on pc like rfactor2 which is the best racing simulator in terms of realism. Also I play my summer car which is a good game but not for the faint hearted 😂1 point

do wonder about the legality of this lamp as it is an additional white light at the front of the car and not illuminating as a pair of lamps.....maybe wrong as I remember the old Wolsely's used to have an illuminated radiator grille badge .... @Magnet may remember these?1 point

Hello Jason, As an addition to Steve's sound and comprehensive advice, I would also be in touch with the previous keeper, since despite having service history up to the hilt, owners get rid of cars for a reason - which they know, but you won't, unless you enquire. To me, this step is as important as checking the service history and arranging an inspection. The fully story rests with them. Good luck with your impending purchase. Kind regards, Gareth.1 point

Yeah I do mean the rear bearings. I experienced this on my T5. Its has the same bearings on the front and rear. You can tell this because the hub has a hole in the centre to receive a drive shaft if My T5 was a 4 motion, but it is not. I had little noise, if any, when driving in a straight line but when I turned to the left I could hear the typical bearing grumble. I was convinced it was the front right bearing on its way out. But when I put it on ramps (my local garage lets me use their ramps after hours 😋) I could not find a fault with the fronts. However, just because I had the van on the ramps I checked the rear axle for wear in the bushes etc and when I then span the rear right wheel I could here bearing noise. Normally a rear bearing would make noise all the time, not just on cornering, but because the bearings are the front design and not a typical tapered bearing normally used on the rear of a vehicle this was the symptom and therefore fix. This is why I asked if anyone knew if the rear bearings on this car are the same as the fronts!? It could explain the noise! Yes Gavo, I have never had an issues or come across an issue with an inner CV joint making a noise on turning before. Only ever a clunking on pick up of drive from stand still or a vibration which is usually at a very specific speed range like 38-42mph. But, as I say everyday is a school day and in your case who knows. All I will say is your car is the best serviced car in the U.K. Right now!! There is a lol in there somewhere mate.1 point

Welcome to the forum Jason :) youll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) if the a7 has full Audi history then you can ring Audi to see what work the car has had. Obviously check to see if the cambelt and waterpump has been changed as I suspect the car is due the change by now. This also goes for the Quattro system. Check to see when it was last serviced and check tyre wear. I say this as the Quattro system can be sensitive to uneven tyre wear and this can potentially damage the Quattro system. Obviously check to see if all electronic components work as they can be expensive to fix. Im assuming it's an auto. If so make sure the gear changes are smooth both in both auto and manual modes. Check to see in the service history when the gearbox oil was last changed. But like I say if it's full Audi history then you can ring them to check all this ;) another thing I would advise is an independent inspection which can be carried out by companies such as the AA or RAC. If the seller is reluctant or refuses for you to have this done then you have to ask what the seller has to hide! Finally I have to comend you on your choice of Audi as the a7 is a lovely car :) hope iv helped :) cheers steve1 point

I like this idea . How many times when driving some idiot will put you or other users in danger and you think if only a police car was around...1 point

Glad your on board Sven :) il put your name down :) once I know how to buy tickets, il let everyone know :) as I say, Paul and I have had issues buying tickets :/ In terms of the road trip il put a topic on the road trip section to gauge interest! :) I see on Facebook that the Audi allroad group recently did a road trip across a desert! I'm still trying to find out where they went. They had 10-15 allroads on the trip! Oh and by the way Dan and I are planning to meet up at the Coventry transport museum if you want to join us? No date set yet but it would be a free day out ;) have s look under the midlands meets for more info and let me know if your interested :) Cheers steve :)1 point

You know what Paul I am quite taken by this little mod. We were coming home from the cinema and it was just starting to get dark. It looked really good.1 point

Got hold of a set and had them fitted. Nice mod compared to the old fashioned chrome one's. Not expensive for a minor cosmetic upgrade - £155 + VAT per side .. and then fitment.1 point

Try PPTuning. They make great exhaust systems and lots of support bits like oval tailpipes etc. Great prices too.1 point
