  4. Getting ready for the castle combe i gave the engine a clean. I have watched a lot of youtube videos and the thought of jet washing is scary . So i had an idea ::) baby wipes !!! Spend 2h cleaning all areas starting from top do bottom and then vaccumed out the hood underlay and wipped and used 3 packs with cost me £2 !!! Bargain I did use a small stiff paint brush and with a tiny bit of degreeser on few areas but the results are great .also i took the engine cover out and cleaned under I will have another go a day before the show and will put some dressing on for all black bits

  5. Looking good Piotr and baby wipes are great at removing dirt and grime.....so much so that you wonder if they are that strong in degreasing oily marks then what must they do to a baby's arse? Will be inspecting engine bays at Castle Coombe so if anyone else needs to clean theirs you have just over a week to do so

  6. Whilst doing research into Audis history I can across an unusual connection between Audi and Ayrton Senna. Let me explain... Audi of Brazil was created on the 18th November 1993 when Senna signed a cooperation agreement with Audi AG. Through Senna's importation and sales business he would bring the Audi brand to the Brazilian nation for the first time. At the time of this agreement Senna was already a 3 time formula one world Champion. The inportation started in April 1994 with an event held at the Congonhas airport in São Paulo shortly after the Brazilian Grand Prix. The next day, Senna introduced the current Audi products to journalists at the Interlagos circuit. Senna naturally had his own Audi daily Driver which was a 1994 S4 avant C4. This model eouldnlater be rebadged as the s6. Sadly only after a month of operation Senna was sadly killed at Italy's Imola Autodrome circuit. Despite the sad loss of Senna the his brother continued the business that Senna started and by the end of 1994 1,474 Audis had been imported and in 1995 this figure rose to 3,072. The cooperation agreement continued to grow along with sales and by 2005 a deal was struck between Senna's family and Audi AG where by the importation business was absorbed into the Audi group. Here's the link for more info: http://fourtitude.com/news/audi-driver/retrospective-ayrton-senna-his-ur-s4-avant-and-the-formation-of-audi-brazil/ (Pictures taken from google images) hope you enjoyed reading this :) cheers steve

  7. Thanks Trevor and Brad :) i didn't know the connection until I came across a small article. Then I I thought I'd just research it. It's amazing that he sowed the seeds for the brand to grow in Brazil and now they are one of the most popular vehicle brands in Brazil ;)

  9. Got mine too but not without a drama! So I'm reading through the thread seeing everyone getting theres so I ask the wife if she'd seen mine in thr post and she said yes I've put it on the notice board. Well! She put the slip saying your ticket is enclosed on the notice board and throw the ticket in the bin along with the envelope. So after 15 minuets of bin diving my ticket has been retrived! 😊. (She's lucky!!!!).

  12. Hi So the guy sent another message , he said his girlfriend is the BA expert , Apparently the club world larder is used on Ba flights from that time period , the menu has a no Ba logo as the aircraft was hired by audi and so not a normal Ba flight , (the type I get to ibiza) , apparently there are others for scania , Tesco and Sony etc He does sell a lot of aviation items and has good feedback 100% so doubt it's a fake item , such as safety cards and aircraft overhead Pannels all with good feedback from the avition collectors So perhaps a vip hire , I think I think a Rare item on both Ba and audi level , thanks again Steve for your help Regards Boltonman11

  16. Bit late to the party. I had very similar problems, would crank for 10-14 seconds before starting, only happened randomly, progressively happened more and more until... New starter motor solved it. Now starts in <1 second, hot cold or otherwise
