  5. Oh yes! I had the Freelander 2 on winter tyres in the 2010 winter which actually started late November and into December. -17C was recorded on the car readout and much snow was duly ploughed through. Deepest snow for many years. Here are the videos:

  7. All depends where you live in uk. In the south i dont think there is a need for them apart from an odd day when it snows and everyone panics lol . Overall they are much safer for the winter . But i hope it snows this year so i can test my quattro system :)

  8. Audi has just unveiled it's brand new Formula E race car, the FE04 which will make it's debut in season 4 of the Formula E championship in Hong Kong. This is the first formula E car that Audi has designed and built after sponsoring Abt Schaeffler for the last 3 seasons. Schaeffler will be still behind the wheel of the new car which has an improved gearbox. This is a significant step for Audi as some of the technology used in the FE04 will gradually be released on up and coming road cars such as the Audi e-tron SUV which is due next year. Here are the links for further info :) https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/audi-unveils-e-tron-fe04-formula-e-racer https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/motorsport-formula-e/audi-e-tron-fe04-revealed-brand’s-first-all-electric-racing-car Cheers Steve

  9. Hi Keith welcome to the forum :) You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I have some questions... What is the Audi dealer saying? What tyres are they? What's the total mileage on the car? Obviously the first two things that need to be checked are Tyre pressures, tracking and wheel balancing. Sorry if I'm telling you how to suck eggs! Also dont forget to check the condition of the wheels for any cracks or buckling. Obviously if the car has covered high mileage then certain parts of the suspension such as the bushes and suspension arms could be wearing out. Cheers Steve

  14. Thank F for that The vacuum idea succeeded in retrieving the bulb! I accessed the housing by removing the DRL bulb which enabled greater access. I then had the task of fitting the LED sidelights and discovered that this time it went in easily and thus concluded that removing the DRL bulb whilst fitting the sidelight is the key to success. On the passenger side I proved this because the holder refused to go back in but once the DRL was out, in it went no problem Just a note for anyone else planning on changing their sidelight with this method: 1: The sidelights only work one way around so try before putting it back in 2: When putting the DRL bulb back which simply twists and locks in place, you might find the wires from the sidelight are now in the way so you'll need to push those aside

  16. Clay bar are fun to use :). Just use plenty of lubrication (50:50 shampoo and water in a spray bottle will do ) And what ever you do dont drop it !!!! It will pick up all kind of crap They come in bars so cut some off and work it with your hands to make it soft. Make sure you work it again after each panel so you always have a clean side. Wash your car before , best to use a snowfoam as pre wash You can clay all glass and lights too Slight down side all paint chips will show as clay will pick up all dirt lol Polish and wax at the end to protect :) And show us the results !!!
