  1. Hello Brad, Sorry to hear of your issue , but I feel this problem is not something you should need to trouble yourself over. Since the car is no more then 6 months old and obviously well within warranty, the simple solution is to arrange to return it to the dealer for them to resolve the unacceptable problem at VAG's expense.   2. Hi Paul , I will find out next week if Audi will accept me rejecting the car and them supplying a new car with my specification. It’s now had 2 major repairs gearbox and power steering.I Will let you know out come , CITIZEN ADVICE told me I can reject after second major part failing. On safety issues alone Trading standards are now involved.

Welcome to the forum Daniel, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch πŸ™‚ good amount of miles on your a4 πŸ™‚ best way to prolong the life of the car is following the service schedule with regular oil changes. That's all my a6 has had and it's on 329k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt. cheers Steve
