Hi....welcome to the Forum It sounds like it could be the coolant pressure cap not holding pressure. When they carried out a pressure test of the cooling system, did they pressure test the cap aswell? Let us know what you find

I guess that is your only realistic option as it is purpose built into the car so other items are out. You will probably need the Main Dealer's know-how to link it into the computer system. I found the same sort of issue when I thought about adding an Audi Cam dashcam system. The original is very expensive so thought I'd buy a top range model dashcam from Halfords but they looked at my car and said there was no way they could hard wire it into the system as it would cause problems..... ho hum... :)
