  1. Hi William & Leslie, I know your posts were quite a while ago, but was just wondering if you have managed to source the parts needed to fit a space-saver spare wheel into your A4s. I have a 2019 A4 Avant and have very recently bought the polystyrene tool holder (with tools) from bargainhunter 3210 on Ebay for £54.99 + a brand new, original spare wheel with tyre, again from Ebay, seller: dalin_7124 for £139.00. Both these items are genuine Audi/VW parts bearing all the correct numbers. An alternative source for the tool holder is from Ebay seller Red Brain, there are many sellers offering the spare wheel. I have not yet got around to fitting the kit since the weather has been too cold and damp! 🥶 As an after thought, I also enquired through my local Audi dealership as to whether or not I could fit a spare and was told it depends. If your car has the superior sound system, then no, cannot be fitted as no room due to sub-woofer, I think. Hope this may be of some help, albeit a bit late, perhaps! 😀 Regards, Chris

  2. Hello Mark, Might be worth adding some Redex diesel additive and some non supermarket fuel before embarking on your ‘Italian Tune’. Kind regards, Gareth.

  3. I had something similar on mine last year but mine was petrol, the local indy checked it all over, couldn't find anything amiss and put it down the the catalytic converter. They recommended taking it our for a decent spin to clear the cat. and sure enough all OK. Seems if you do a lot of town driving this can happen. Best of luck.

  4. Robert. It could be a hundred or more faults from a faulty battery to a broken cambelt causing the problem. Without a lot more information it is unlikely anybody can help. Do you intend to investigate and repair it yourself, or will you take it to a mechanic?

  6. Hi Ryan, will deffo have a look at the video as when I watched my belt being changed it was from at least five feet away so I could not observe any fine detail and had to get a bit further back when the swearing started when a ratchet broke. Now have THE RIGHT and only part numbers for both sensors should you or I need them, believe me when I tell you one of the cars he showed me which they had just started on the belt even though still tensioned you could move it about 10mm up and down, I rang him today and he is of the same opinion as I am that there will be no detrimental effect on the engine😁. Steve.
