  1. Hi guys. Does anyone have any pics of their A3 lowered 40mm ? Want to see how low a 40mm drop is. Thank you.

  2. Yes. At the end I replaced the heather matrix which was blocked (have not opened it up to see what was it blocked with). My coolant levels are now normal and the heating works, however I have replaced it with OEM part( Valeo is what was installed) and the design is not the best I should have gone and spent a little bit more money! <- Just as an advice from my experience, do a research and look if there is a better part for it. There is still some slushing sounds from the dashboard so there might be some air trapped there, I will back flush the matrix again when the weather gets a bit warmer and see if there is any more debris in the system. Hope this helps.

  3. Hi sorry for the late reply, yes they can change the oil as the manufacturers have to have a hole in it to fill it up, Fords had the same idea but people got round it by sucking the old oil out through the filler hole and then refilling it, by now some bright spark will have found a way of changing the filters as well, as for youtube I must admit I have never looked at this problem but I will now and if I find any thing I will let you know. Steve.

  4. Hi maybe they have modified the screens pacified area to address a problem they had on later higher spec models your guess is as good as mine, like I said try asking the advice of the local Autoglass depot as they are normally very helpful and probably know the real answer to your question. Steve.

  5. UPDATE: upon closer inspection there seems to be oil coming through the crankcase breather hose, which then looks to be leaking out through a joint in the main air intake pipe onto the manifold/other hot bits

  6. Ryan. Colourless fumes or slightly grey smoke would be just an exhaust leak, but white smoke suggests coolant is mixed with exhaust fumes. Is the water level dropping? I seem to recall that the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve is water cooled, which might be the source. Not sure on this point.
