  1. Quote I got a month ago from my audi dealer was £170 for the key, and then roughly the same again for the labour. I recently got a spare key from an independent key specialist - Car Key Solutions in London. It's not an official Audi key I think, but looks and feels identical - that was £165 all in, including coming out to you to do the work. I had a couple of issues with that, the remote buttons stopped working, but the Car Key Solutions customer service was top notch and they sorted it for me.

  2. Living in the county I do t know if I agree with this, but I'll admit the tourist attractions are good https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/leicestershires-answer-route-66-places-5432272

  3. Hi I have worked on various different diesels and they all have bits of brass in the system due to the fact the high pressure pump loses bits of itself but even the high milage ones still run fine, the injectors have small filters fitted to the top where the feed pipe joins the injector to prevent the large debris going in to the actual injector, I would be trying the lift pump in the tank as from the strange noise you describe I would take that as the lift pump was failing which would cause the high pressure pump to be noisy just before the engine shut down. by the sound of it your boy has decided to change just about everything but the fuel rail is a bit excessive as you can take them off flush them through and then hit them with an airline, as for the injectors how would you know if they were shot unless the engine is running with the diagnostic plugged in showing anomalies with the live data. Steve.

  4. My advice would be to search for local Audi retrofitters on Google or try the same search on Facebook as a lot of retrofitters advertise their work on there 🙂

  5. Thanks all - just replaced the brake booster pressure sensor on my A4 B9 - latest Part # 5Q0 906 207 A - hope it lasts longer than the original! My car experienced the problem Brake Servo Restricted + Auto Stop / Start Disabled today at 3pm, and thanks to this website I'd found the problem, and fitted the replacement part by 5pm. The result = problem solved. :-) Excellent.

  6. I ordered my 50 TFSI e Quattro in October and it’s still not even been given a build slot yet. £56k for a car and can’t build it in half a year - hardly a ringing endorsement
