  1. Arron. We have been through all this just a few weeks ago in your previous topic https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/19121-20-tdi-coolant-temp-issues-cause/?tab=comments#comment-68598 Just how much more proof do you want that your battery is clapped out and needs to be renewed?

  2. Many thanks to Stagn8 for posting the interview with JCB chairman, totally fascinated with the content and one which all politicians should watch. The total reliance on electricity is totally out of order in this country, the power generation strategy programme over the last 20 odd years has been woeful, we have the lowest power stand by we have ever had, and to think it can be solved by windmills, solar and tidal power stations is a misconception. One new nuclear station due to be commissioned in a few years time and closure of fossil fired stations and aging nuclear stations has been ill thought out. Our source of power importing from France I think is fragile with our relationship with them disappearing fast. Apologies for the rant, it's something I have a little knowledge about having worked in the industry for all my working life.

  3. Last (temporary?) resort Ben, when all else fails - get a local graphics printer to design and print the size and outline you require and stick these on. Kind regards, Gareth.

  4. Hello Arron, Just as Cliff says. It’s a bit like having toothache and being told the tooth needs attention, then asking why you have toothache. Apologies if this appears rather harsh, but you know what you have to do. You will obviously find you have choices when you come to renew the battery, and you can buy at the lowest price and be told you have a 3 year guarantee, or you can buy a good battery at the most competitive price - sometimes there isn’t an alarming difference between those two, if you do your homework. For me, I only buy Varta or Bosch, and choose their 5 year guarantee range rather than the slightly cheaper 3 year. On line suppliers with next day delivery include Tayna, Batterymegastore etc. - there are more. Just search EBay and the seller will advise the correct battery when you give them your registration number. Batteries work hard with modern vehicles, so worth buying once and wisely. Kind regards, Gareth.

  5. Hi only a suggestion, look for another model as I am sure these will not be peculiar to your car, alternatively contact your nearest manufacturer of car body kits as they will be able to produce them in ABS plastic it probably won't be cheap but it will look very similar, think you may have taken on a live one here as that was built a long time ago and the strip manufacturer has probably retired, look on some of the retro car trim sites. 6. Hi Anton, I was only commenting on what I watched and my main concern is that Diesels reputation is being destroyed at the expense of promoting the Hybrid which is happily trundling about creating more pollution than the Diesel, and if you don't give the cake up you will cram on the pounds and won't go as far on your new charge because of the extra weight LOL. Steve.
