  1. As long as the car has been well maintained you should be ok. For example my 20 year old A6 that's covered 340k still tows occasionally with Ifor Williams trailers/car transporter trailers etc. The engine and gearbox have never been rebuilt. The rear shocks were only changed last year. it's the second set of rear shocks from new. My wife and I are even considering getting a caravan (I'd even love a small boat lol) and wouldn't hesitate to tow with my ageing a6 👍

  2. Hi do you think he needs it plugged in as both the faults mentioned rear there ugly heads when the battery is failing as the main ECU goes into a default strategy to try and save the electric as both units consume a lot of power when operating. Steve

  3. Hello Asad, ABS and Traction Control warnings are usually associated with either the ABS sensors, or the signal from the hub itself. Not sure why you are associating the issue with wiring faults before eliminating -at least - the simple sensors. Kind regards, Gareth.

  4. Good luck, please keep us posted on how you get on. Don't let them fob you off - which it sounds they're trying to do.

  5. No, the first recall July 2021 was to replace nuts on the rear suspension and I'd had the car for one year, no mention at this point about tyres. Second recall March 2022 and my letter from Audi admitted that some owners had experienced excessive tyre wear as the technicians were not instructed to check alignment on the first recall. Audi claim to offer reimbursement for those owners affected. I'm still waiting for Audi Customer Services to contact me. Audi Leicester advised me to contact them and when I did Audi Customer Services told me to speak to Audi Leicester but in the meantime they would speak to Audi Leicester on my behalf. Still waiting for a response.

  6. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice looking A6. I drive an old Audi which my dad bought new then passed to me. With older ones it's all about how well it's been maintained. Mines on 339k miles on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt. Second turbo mind, first blew at 75k. Anything mines needed it's had and has never missed a service in 20 years. Plus it's been on multiple road trips including to France, Belgium, nc500 and lands end to John O Groats. As well as doing track time at castle Combe and Santa Pod.
