  1. Hi sorry mate its a full clutch four piece DMF, Driven plate, and slave cylinder best given attention soon as when the DMF starts really juddering eventually it locks over and you can't get at the bolts to release the DMF from the crank so you have to go at it with a diamond disc cutter to get it off, good news is your clutch kit will be a hell of a lot cheaper than the later models and don't be tempted by the solid flywheel conversion as that puts excess strain on the crank damper at the front end and ruins them in record time, worse case scenario the new solid flywheel is capable of breaking your crank through Harmonic Resonance at about 2800rpm thats why old diesels were limited to 2500rpm to stop this happening, with the advent of DMF and a rubber mounted crank pulley they are able to rev higher giving the manufacturers a wider rev range to tune the torque curve. 2. Hi all I’m new here having come across this amazingly helpful thread after getting the brake servo and start / stop warnings this afternoon. I have a 2017 S5 with approx 37k on the clock. The car has been used regularly and the brake servo warning appeared soon after leaving home. I carried on because it said I could continue driving. Shortly afterwards, when braking, I felt the ABS engage and the start / stop warning came on. I continued to my destination and back home afterwards without incident (around 15 miles or so). All I can say at the moment is that I’m really glad I’ve found this thread. I won’t be driving the car until I’ve attempted to replace the pressure sensor. Just hoping my local Audi dealer has the part in stock, as it looks like simple job to do myself. Just want to say thanks to everyone here for sharing your experiences and helping others resolve the issue, hopefully before it becomes a major expense!

  3. Make sure you have pictures of the tyres before you send them off. As well as pictures of all the numbers in the side as I'm sure they'll be a batch number or something on them.

  4. A5 kev 🙂 If it were me I'd be looking at sourcing one from eBay. It's amazing how many speakers seem to go on the a5s.

  5. In my post on here i didn’t really prioritise one over the other to be honest but of course the danger far out ways the money The money isn’t really the problem although replacing 4 tyres at a cost of nearly £1000 does smart a bit Although of course i would rather spend it then end up upside down in a ditch I most definitely made the danger of these tyres my main concern when i contacted dunlop yesterday I got the standard email reply back from them yesterday and the offending tyres are going to be sent back to them today with the view that if nothing wrong is found with these tyres i want them back for a second opinion Even the garage that i brought these tyres from and they fitted can’t believe how bad they are They even commented how well the tyres have worn evenly and should have thousands more miles in them and are firmly on my side

  6. I understand that if the sensor was changed before you had an ABS failure you should be ok.
