When I got the car I knew there was going to be stuff that I needed/wanted to do. Some because previous owner had bodged it or it was missing/broken/didnt like it. On the outside I have done quite a bit but this is all on the inside The rear bench was loose so with help from Rob sourced the retaining clips and installed them Bulbs for reading lights- god awful LED bulbs, most of them blown so replaced them with factory Retrofitted cruise control. That was a fun upgrade, has to make a hole in the bottom cowling for the extra stalk and teach myself the coding side of OBDeleven but it all worked out well in the end replace clutch control switch- that was needed for the cruise control to work RS4 pedals install- that was a !Removed! of a job as the RS4 covers are not as rubbery. Had to remove the accelerator pedal to get that one on 3D cupholders. Found some which fitted well. sanded them and painted and now they live in the glovebox when not in use. Replace centre console . The original had that silly 90's nokia style phone holder. Looked at 3D printed parts but in the end plumbed for a magsafe holder in the air vent. So there is a whopping big hole where the bracket used to be so sourced a centre console and will be replacing the whole unit when it arrives. In the meantime I discovered why the hands free calling was a bit muffled ( they had hidden the mic behind the trim...odd ) . Anyway was looking to see how I could have both the cable for my phone and the mic present and came up with a genius idea.Remove two buttons not in use, drill out access ( rubber grommet going in soon to tidy it up ) and feed cables back to head unit My brushed aluminium trim sadly had a big dent ( probably from passenger putting their fee on the dash.grrr ) so sourced a set of trims. They came pretty bashed up TBH but I wasn't too fussed as knew I would be covering them. These are them from ebay. R So decided to teach myself how to vinyl wrap. Never done it before but why the hell not 🙂 Came out all right I think on my first attempt. and all installed in the car. Getting there 🙂1 point

absolutely not. I've worked in the motortrade for a number of years starting with Lotus ending with Rolls Royce. In-between spent a little time with some luxury brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes and BMW. The issue you describe is a problem specific to Volkswagen Group UK. Customer service models are the same whether it is VW, Skoda or Audi. This problem is very specific to the group and i strongly recommend to complete the online satisfaction form without prejudice! I picked up on this owning my first new Audi and noted the service compared no different to my VW passat (daily driver) which I had for a number of years. I was a consultant for Nissan UK as they had a sharp decline in customer satisfaction scores for their Nismo range. As a mystery customer tasked by Nissan UK, I picked up a used/new GTR from a non Nismo dealer (arranged by Nissan) with a minor imaginary problem and booked it in with a Nismo approved franchised centre. Cutting a long story short I did this with 6 dealers up and down the country. The service was appalling when you consider the car I was driving cost £100K+ and I was getting the same level of customer service as someone whom spent less than £15K on a new car. Nissan realised this and sharply did a u-turn on their policy making, I think now the worst courtesy car you can get into as a GTR customer is/was the Juke Nismo. Just to add, Lexus have told their dealers to hire you a car if they cant provide you a similar model specification. When i worked at Lotus no mountain was high enough, we (the dealer or manufacturer) couldn't climb to support the customer. Bad customer rapport regardless of the cost was not an acceptable outcome.1 point

Watched that video on utube and the one bit i wanted to see is where he skips...... shows you him undoing the 2 bolts and pulling the light forward an inch before the video jumping past where he manages to get the light past the plastic bit you can just see.... ive screenshot the video which shows the fixing point of the light sitting on top of the plastic I can't get past..... either that or I'm too scared to smash the light altogether..... I have pulled the corner pretty hard to get it out but seems like I'm using alot of force to get it out and might struggle to linenit up and get it back in?? Had another go yesterday and no way was that light coming out by just removing the 2 bolts. I even removed the cover accross the top of the grille to see what's below, only came out so far and hit a solid bit plastic which I couldnt see how i could remove it. But..... I did find the cause of the moisture ingress, no idea how but the light was cracked pretty badly on the inside edge, sort of behind the side of the grille.... No idea how this could be cracked, no damage on the front of the light lense and no signs of any damage on the grille, bumper, underside covers or any other plastics etc. Almost like someone has shoved something inbetween the side of the grille and the corner of the light and forced it over..... i have Managed to get the light out just far enough to get the silcone nozzle in and seal the crack with plenty of black silicone. Seems to be ok so far 🤞1 point

You're not wrong. Its a most odd feeling when the car seems to automatically 'turn into' a bend on a B road. No excuse to be sloppy indicating while changing lane on dual carriageway now as the car literally fights with you doesn't it. Its turned off by clicking the button on the end of the indicator but seems to turn back on at each restart for me. And yes im 6ft2in and find it very comfortable. Incredible machine.1 point

Nardo Grey Carbon Black with C&S, Red Callipers and Sport Exhaust. Managed to get a great deal and my current A6 just gets handed back. Been watching fuel prices rising with nothing but regret lol! My review on the C8 A6 40tfsi coming from the C7 2.0tdi is that its brilliant - the technology is out of this world, love the dash, love big screens and the B&O is outstanding! Only thing I'm still disappointed about is the part pleather; a car of this calibre (£50k+) should have full leather as my C7 did. Other than that I simply cant fault it! Economy (for me) is 35.6mpg average over 4600 miles. so basically 10mpg less than the diesel equivalent.1 point
