  1. Yeah I got the same response originally (nothing been logged previously, supposedly). One of the reasons why I questioned them in the first place was because I saw others having the same issue, 1 in particular where he called out Audi on Twitter and Audi UK customer services responded to him publicly (I also commented on that thread). I get a sense that there is poor communication internally within Audi, both dealership and Audi UK. I actually spoke to Audi UK again yesterday for an update on the issue and they said a manager would get back to me. Like Gareth says, it's up to the individual whether to pursue or not. Even though I don't own the car anymore, I'm still happy to chase them, I will let you know if I have any breakthrough with the issue. Alex

  2. It's not been driven far enough to overheat much over normal (90° on the thermostat). Only really been driving it to take it to the garage and back since the warning light came on... 🙄 Thanks for your advice and will keep you posted with the outcome

  3. Hi Rob I hope you don't mind me joining in with this discussion and it does look as though you are getting alot very supportive and useful help from Gareth. Also I'm not sure of how you feel about this particular Q8 but looking through the list of faults with this car isn't there now an argument to reject it completely, be fully reimbursed by the supplying Dealership and go for an alternate Q8 ? I do realise that this car was a Vorsprung spec with every conceivable bell and whistle and they are quite rare but I have just a basic spec S line with the sound and camera package and the spec is pretty good. Just my 2 penneth and I do hope you get sorted. Frank

  4. I believe both the SE and Sport (I have the latter) have the same Comfort Dynamic Suspension and it is the S-Line model that has a lower suspension which is also firmer. Seat trims are different and standard equipment was more generous with the Sport model (such as the LED interior lighting pack. The 2017 model year brochure lists these additional features for Sport models compared with SE models: Wheels ► 17” ‘5-spoke Y’ design alloy wheels ► ultra TDI models come with low rolling resistance tyres Exterior ► Radiator grille in Twilight grey matt with chrome inlays ► Air inlets in Titan black with two horizontal inlays in chrome ► Rear diffuser in Twilight grey matt Seats ► Front Sport seats in System cloth Interior equipment ► 3-spoke leather multi-function Sport steering wheel ► LED Interior Lighting Pack Audio and communication ► MMI Navigation with 7” colour MMI screen • 3D map display • MMI search • Two SDXC card reader ► Audi Sound System with 10 loudspeakers ► Audi Connect (three-month trial)^
