  1. I took my car down to my mechanic this morning as he was replacing my heated wing mirrors as they had failed and I asked him if he could take a look at my driver side heated seat backrest not heating up and he basically cleaned the connections under the drivers seat and plugged them back in, reset the fault code and now I finally have heated backrest again whoop!!!! So happy haha.

  4. You could avoid time wasters by publishing your prices openly. People who advertise without prices are, for some of us, also time wasters.

  5. The remap could undoubtedly have been the cause of the problem if it was not matched exactly to the engine, which of course the remappers are not going to admit. The only way to prove the point is to revert to standard settings. Equally it could be any of the other factors mentioned. They should all be investigated. That is going to be expensive if done by Audi; you would do better to find an independant VAG specialist. Whatever the cause, running rich will block the DPF.

  6. Well a map that's not 100% tailored to the car could put more strain on the car.

  9. HI its probably a dirty/loose connection under the seat, couldn't tell you which one without a diagram, but the easy way around it is leave the car overnight and then unlock it from a distance, get an assistant to open the door and keep the key out of range, this will give the airbag module time to drain down and it won't cause problems as they only work on 4ohms, then take off one plug at at a time and clean with electrical cleaner the connectors often become loose due to the seat moving back and forth when hoovering the car. 10. Hello Ravi, Probably a break in the supply wire to the rear seat section. You would need to remove the seat, dismantle it and discover the issue. Do not ( in caps) disconnect any plugs into the seat without having disconnected the battery for 30 mins before doing so - or you’ll end up setting the air bags off. Kind regards, Gareth.

  11. Ok, just an update for those who may have a similar problem.... I removed the rear light cluster and thought that I could open up the unit, but unfortunately not. It's a sealed unit, so you can't easily replace the leds, so I purchased a replacement cluster and so far the problem is fixed. It seems that enough moisture go into the clutter to cause the fail. It does seem that it's bad product design from Audi, especially the water channels where the tailgate/boot meets the taillight cluster. The rubber & plastic trim isn't water tight and water can get through!

  12. Garage investigated and found the oil filler cap could not open and when they got it open there was a whoosh through the pressure. They investigated thoroughly and found that the oil breather/ oil separator unit needed replacing . They did this and it’s been 36 hours now and no problems, running as normal. Moral to this is if you need help go to someone that really knows their stuff and doesn’t rely solely on a computer reading.
