  1. Hi Gents, I started to suffer some weird handling on the front of my A6 so I ran the car down to the garage I use so I could borrow a ramp, soon saw the trouble it was the Banana arm bushes as named in the trade, A.K.A. front rear lower control arm, anyway managed to get a deal on Lemforder replacements they must be o.e. as someone had ground most of the VAG numbers off of the castings, I assumed that the whole arm and balljoint must be knackered so I butchered the balljoint boots with a forked joint splitter only to find the balljoints themselves were perfectly serviceable even after 150, 000 + miles, on reflection I could have got away with fitting power flex bushes on the inners, hey ho time is money, but I thought I would publish this as they reckon these are a weak point on Audis, so if some monkey MOT tester tells you they are gone make sure they look like this before you launch your wallet at them. 2. Hi folks, I have a 1994 manual blue 2.6 sat on my brothers drive. Has been there a while and sadly the key is lost. This and the fact I don't have a garage to give it some love is the final straw so it needs a home ! Looking a bit poorly at the moment but is in very good overall condition other that it's been stood. Before the key was lost a few months ago it started on the button even though it had been a while. Mechanics are great and I'm sad to let her go. 2.6 manual, manual roof which doesn't leak, newish exhaust. Thoughts on it's value and anybody interested ? Cheers, Richard

  3. Hi, Mines brand new so a B9 I'm guessing? Do you have a pic of your boot well, empty? As I said, mines like the one pictured earlier and the foam carrier and wheel went straight in. What's the problem with yours?

  4. Just by way of an update on this subject. I'm in UK and just took delivery of a 2023 A4 Avant Sports Edition 40tfsi with 18" wheels. No spare wheel. My boot well looks just like the one above posted by steve335, no extra sound system kit etc in the space. I just purchased the space saver spare wheel and jack £129.95 from The Wheelshop and the foam carrier 8W0012109F from LLLParts £47.39. Can confirm that the wheels fits on the car fine and into the boot, on the foam carrier, without a problem at all. The jack works well and all the kit fits neatly into the boot well without issue. I even found space to leave the electric inflator and gunk bottle plus a first aid kit all neatly under the floor. https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/product/audi-a4-b8-2008-present-day-19-space-saver-spare-wheel-and-tool-kit/ https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/8W0012109F/vag-stowage-box-8w0012109f

  5. I've had bad news today. My Audi A6 2.5tdi aym engine is terminal (knocking bottom end) 🤦‍♂️☹️ Advice on engines please guys. Do all 2.5tdi engines fit? Which is the best 2.5 engine? My garage want me to source another aym engine but as they're a one year only variant I think I'll struggle. Plus I fancy slightly more power from a 180bhp version. Ill be at simply Audi but in the Kuga
