  1. Hello Merita, I would suggest you search EBay for the specific part, and for ‘TTs breaking’. Also worth advertising your ‘want’ on the on-line breaker link sites that can be found by Googling ‘car breakers’. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.

  2. Hi Steve they achieved the extra capacity by using the same pistons but slightly shorter con rods [old Ford trick] the old Kent 1300/1600 used the same piston with different sized rods but the block was the same in every respect, might be well worth giving Kevs engine a go as it will save you a bundle as well as the fact it comes with the ECU, if he says its mint I would definitely agree as it beyond doubting his experience and judgement. Steve.

  4. Yep egr would throw up a eml light. You can try to get the egr cleaned. However the best option is to replace it with a genuine one. Cheap aftermarket ones can be of questionable quality

  6. Its funny I thought about car sos! No way I'd qualify now. Partly the reason for the performance route was to rebuild a whole new engine excluding the bock as that avoids issues with DVLA. Plus with an expensive modified engine I'd go the agreed valuation route and this protecting the car slightly better from a write off situation. I've also weighed up that performance parts will cost no more overall than the stock genuine Audi parts where I can source them. That's my rationale. My brother thinks I should go the whole fig and Dona full resto as the engine is out anyway. All specialists I've contacted are shocked I've got 344k out of a no rebuilt 2.5.
