  1. Hi if you go on LLL carparts or ZAP 7 and put your VIN in that will normally come up with the part number for the discs for your car or come to that any motor factors as they all have an Audi parts system, the problem with euros is they don't have many staff who knowhow to use a system, the VIN is the key to the build spec as with my car there's three different sizes of disc unless you give them the VIN, then you get the right size straight away. 2. Hi Tony if you can give me P.M. with your Vin and engine code I will run it through my parts system and see which ones fit your vehicle. Steve.

  3. Why ECP Tony? Have you tried Car Parts in Motion - often cheaper and a good service. Kind regards, Gareth.

  4. The alternator is as old as the car - 2007. There is no alternator/battery warning light showing on the dash. The two times it showed up was when I had the incompatible energy management module on and the car stopped on the road while idling. The battery voltage then was 11.2 volts. After I installed the compatible module, the voltage measured at the battery boost posts under the hood showed 14.0 volts constantly but with the DTCs 02254 (Interface to Generator 004 - No Signal/Communication) and 03041 (Energy Management Active 000). The earlier DTC with the incompatible module 02479 (Partial Consumer Shut-Off Active 000) has disappeared. The voltage goes down from 12.4 volts while cranking before it stabilizes to 14.0 volts. I will check the alternator plug wiring for corrosion and the voltage regulator for spikes. On the VCDS graph, the alternator specified voltage is a straight line while the battery actual voltage varies 0.1 volt. Thank you again Steve and best regards

  5. Its a code in your service book both front and rear have a separate code, its needs to be compred to the fitment section on Euro Parts for each disc & pads. They got mine correct first time without me needing to measure the discs & compare yhe pads.

  6. Hi Clifford why do you think most motor manufacturers use a separate washer nozzle mounted above or by the side of the wiper arm, you don't get this problem, my last Mondeo went to its new owner having never had a rear motor and with 270k on the clock, how can something that saturates itself in a mixture of corrosive screen wash and water and then lets it back into the motor gearbox to rot that out be a clever idea, thats built in obsolescence at its finest. Steve.

  10. Hi if you take the breather hose off of the PCV valve there is always going to be oil but you should get a flow of air/gas as well as the oil it does it the minute you start the engine the residual oil you noticed was originally vapour, it won't do it from cold as there is no hot vaporised oil to suck out, I think you are safe to assume its the PCV collapsed as its only a piece of rubber inside the unit which either splits or goes rock hard and won't channel the gas out of the crankcase therefore the gas is forced past the rings in to the combustion chamber, presto, blue smoke. Steve.
