Hi you won't get a pedal on the first push as the pistons have been retracted hydraulically and need to return to their protocol positions, other than that bleed the system, you should always stamp on the pedal a couple of times after brake work to prime the system preferably before driving the car, no ESP could be you have disturbed a wheel sensor. Steve.

  6. Hi all, Not been on a forum for many years but thought i'd join one as it may come in handy over the next few weeks. Wife called the other day to say her car had broken down. 2013 A4 TFSI with CDNC variant engine - only 57k miles. Couldn't get it into a garage for over 4 weeks so ended up having a go myself. Seems the cam chain tensioner has failed, bending the inlet valves. From what i've read it seems like the new style tensioner. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, are these prone to failure? (I only have a rubbish picture of this but i can get a better one)
