  1. I have reluctantly come to the decision that I must give up driving, as my macular degeneration is making it very difficult to see things/people in marginal light conditions, and my insurers have indicated that they are “unable to offer renewal terms for the coming year”. (July onwards) This means that I am looking for a new home for my much loved Audi A6 Allroad 4.2 litre V8, LPG converted (ULEZ compliant) LC04EOK Audi A6 Allroad 4.2 litre V8 LPG converted - bifuel ULEZ compliant) Milage186,300 MOT till 23/12/2023 Refurbished gearbox fitted by TES Transmissions June 2022 at180,000 miles Timing chain renewed December 2020 at175,530 miles Kenwood double din DAB radio fitted (Original CD Changer still in boot but not connected) LPG tank sits in spare wheel well. 2. This Allroad is running beautifully, and I would be reckonimg on another couple of years if I could still drive. I'm looking for £750 ono. The wheels and DAB radio are worth that alone!

  3. Thanks. Yes you seem to have a healthy number of fuses compared to this car. I have looked around the engine bay, including below the rubber cover between the engine and the windscreen. I've also checked in beside the battery, below the spare wheel. I'm still convinced that I must be staring right at the fuse carriers and somehow not seeing them! As to the aircon issue, the display shows Aircon On, if I simply put the ignition on without starting the engine, but it immediately goes to Off when I start it up. I am assuming it is probably a compressor clutch issue and that the electronics are ok with demanding an "on" position with the engine off but revert to off as soon as it tries (and fails) with the engine on. Before assuming something expensively mechanical, though, I would want to rule out the simple electrical version of the problem where it can't achieve the on position because of a blown fuse.

  4. Hi Gareth, Thanks for this recommendation. Great piece of advice and I’ll pop by our local car dealers. Cheers Sandip

  6. Thanks for taking the time to post these pics. They confirm what I was expecting to find when I removed the various panels to access the fuse carriers. But instead I am seeing this: Front left: Front right: Rear right: Rear Left: ...so a total of 12 fuses? I'm sure Audi have done something very clever and totally obvious to most Audi owners, but it has me (as a poor benighted Land Rover owner) totally stumped! 😀

  7. Hello Richard, Many thanks for joining, and being of a certain age, I sympathise with your need to give up driving - not a good day. Thanks for all the details. Could you please supplement this with your asking price ( as opposed to ‘offers’). Good luck in finding a good home for the car. Kind regards, Gareth.
