Hello Ashton, As with all ‘modern’ cars, a good serviceable battery is a must, so if you have suspicions that it is passed it’s best, then I would suggest getting it tested, and replaced with a good quality (min. 4 year warranty) one if found to be below par. Never buy batteries on the basis of cheapest will do. Will a new battery completely solve your roof issue? Unlikely, but you have to start with the basics, and supplemented with a little carefully (in caps) applied lubrication at all movement points, you may, just may find the problem has been resolved. If it turns out it hasn’t, then at least you will have eliminated the basics. Kind regards, Gareth.

Hi Jack just been on eBay and they have loads of them, what you really need is a photograph of the item or the part number on the old unit, looks like these fail fairly regularly as most of the ones I looked at covered from 1990-1999, try parts in motion on the net and see if they can match one to your car using your VIN number. Hi David, Personally, i think the My Audi app is okay. It tells me info about my car. Audi connect is different, and i don't think it is worth it. I don't need to know the weather/news, social media updates, etc, as i can see it on my phone for FREE. I don't think Audi connect includes map updates either (could be wrong). And again, if you have your phone connected using Android Auto, or Apple Carplay, you have FREE maps (google maps, waze, Apple maps, etc). But i have to say, one thing i miss from Audi connect is 'traffic' updates on the Audi maps/MMI, if i don't have Android Auto connected. Thanks, Joe
