  1. Hi the other route is to have an aftermarket regulator fitted, these are adjustable and are pretty much made to fit any car, I did that mod with an old Mini I had that wouldn't pass an MOT because of lack of brake pressure at the rear so just before every MOT I had to remove the guts from the regulator so it passed, lots of fun driving back in the rain with a tail happy car, finally bit the bullet and bought an aftermarket retro fit adjustable and never looked back. 2. Thanks Charlotte, Obviously a limited edition model will add value, but as said, condition will still be king, and potential buyers may prefer to buy on condition rather than rarity. I see it a little like the first owner, who orders a car will all the optional extras at great cost, but finds that the added value at resale, does not equate to that much more. Where to advertise? Worth trying Piston Heads, also EBay. Kind regards, Gareth.

  3. Have you searched eBay, autotrader and checked the Facebook groups.

  4. Hello Charlotte, Have you searched for other examples of the same edition to get a feel for what prices are being asked? Other factors which will influence prices and appeal are:- Supporting evidence of service history, No. of owners and how long you have owned it, in addition to its overall condition - which of course will be king, in terms of its value. I would guess the door damage would reduce the price by more than it would cost to have it repaired, so it would be worth giving that option a coat of thinking about. Kind regards, Gareth.

  5. Should be already on a long life service schedule but I’d also get fuel filter (if TDi). So I assume that’s at least 2 oil changed a year. injectors are common for clogging up on high mileage cars simply because the frequency of fuel changes. I’ll be honest whilst it is possible to achieve 200k miles and beyond. On VAG group vehicles you tend to see them drop away between 200k-300k not because of reliability simply because cost of components that need changing due to wear and tear. depending on mileage older model turbos on diesels tend to start dropping away between 120k-200k miles. But this is based on how the car is driven and what sort of journeys your doing. I’d probably guess the engine is good for 200k+ but the gearbox not. High milers for engine and transmission tend to do better with medium to long journeys that are regular because of the sustained operating temperatures. If the car is doing short-medium journeys and plenty of them like a taxis. I’d hazard a guess your make it beyond 200k but that’s because your happy committing to £3000+ a year in maintenance costs. previous experience with high mile VAG cars… 2012 VW 2.0 Passat 178k miles sold on as average annual repair costs exceeded £2000. (Car value £9k) 2014 VW 2.0 golf 197k miles Scrapped, turbo and gearbox repair costs £3,400. (Car value £3.8k)

  7. So after multiple lights and it being scanned etc all showing different faults it turns out it was a sensor on the back left passenger abs sensor that was faulty hence setting start stop / passenger air bag /abs / audi auto lights and many more lights off so touch wood this has resolved the issue as of now no lights on and back to normal just £165 quid lighter

  8. Fantastic show report, thank you for sharing. It's a shame we didn't have a club display but we didn't get enough interest. Nice selection of cars there. Seemed a lot of money on the day £20 to just be in a field. Especially when you compare it to Simply Audi. I believe some of the trade stands bailed on the day.
