  2. Thanks Gareth. I'd be hoping for around £2,999 to be honest given the condition and mileage- it really is a lovely car. thanks!

  3. Have you tried Audi heritage? Only problem is that they won't ship to the UK. So only way to get parts is if you have a fridge living in Europe who can ship the part to you.

  7. I doubt that anybody can help unless you give a lot more detail, such as amplifier make & model, and which wires you connected to which terminals, and what radio you are connecting them to.

  8. dpf and egr are the biggest risk factors. The after that turbo and injectors. However well serviced diesel's can last along time. My a6 c5 2.5tdi has never missed a service from new and been over serviced if anything. Before engine went bang it had covered 344k miles. It was on its second turbo and original injectors. I'm putting a replacement engine in it now.

  9. Hi Raffa I used to own a 2.2 Diesel Mondeo but in the end I sold it because I was sick of being told or reading about DMF failure which was always a four figure number to repair. I had mine mapped and removed the DPF and I used to drive it like a !Removed!. Not heard anything about A3 failures but as Magnet said I would definitely get a second opinion from somebody you trust if you can

  10. Hello Rafa, It sounds as if your garage has diagnosed the start of a failing dual mass flywheel (DMF). If so, it is likely to get worse, so if it were mine, I would treat this with respect, and get a second opinion. Sorry to be pessimistic, but if this is correct, it is quite a expensive repair, since the gearbox has to be removed, and it would be wise to invest in a new clutch assembly while it is out. What mileage has it covered by the way? Kind regards, Gareth.

  11. Registered with Partsfinder etc. Jack? Also worth advertising in Classic Car Weekly, and other classic car publications. Can you take a photo of the part? Kind regards, Gareth.
