  1. Maris. It's a common problem with the driver's door lock and is usually caused by a damaged wire in the rubber bellows that connects the door to the pillar. Before buying another lock it would be worth checking the wires to the passenger door first.

  2. Cheers Gareth 😊 it gets hammered daily because I’ve a 60 mile round trip commute to work and it’s my first “premium brand” car so I make sure it gets plenty of TLC in return. Had it 2 years and so far only visits to the garage have been for wear and tear replacements and routine servicing however had I have not found you guys on here the fault I mentioned would’ve been an expensive trip, someone mentioned a dealer charging around £350 😬 so again massively grateful and will seek advice on here if whenever I need it in the future 👍

  3. Many thanks indeed Greg, and welcome to the forum, and your kind comments are very much appreciated - it does mean a lot. Your car really does look to be a fine example. Just keep in touch if you think there is anything else we can help with. Kind regards, Gareth.

  4. Hi Gareth, thank you for your input, I will try this in the morning as they are working ok now. When I first noticed they were not working was in the last cold spell, I had covered about 2 miles and returned home with the indicator still not working, I left the car for a couple of hours and when I tried them they worked, of course the outside temperature had risen. I will report tomorrow. Kind Regards Bob

  5. Welcome Bob, Strange one that! When you say ‘when the car warms up…’. Could you try a little experiment ( if not already tried). Start the car as normal, but do not attempt to operate the flashers. Do not move the car, but leave it idle until the cabin temperature reaches a sensible level - even though the outside temperature is still low. Once the cabin is reasonably warm, try the flashers, and report back. If they still don’t work, then road test the car and see if they start working at less distance covered, than they did when the car was moved from cold. Kind regards, Gareth.

  8. Hi it would be incredibly helpful if you can publish the codes furthermore the statement legal would lead me to believe that you are dealing with what's known in your area as SCALLYS, its not legal and if you don't believe me google it and read the ton of information on that subject, somewhere in the paperwork when you sign it will be a disclaimer saying you told them it was not going to be used on public roads anymore, furthermore a delete should only cost a max of £500, chances are your light has more to do with p2002 which is the EGR cooler but without codes how long is a piece of string. Steve.
