  1. Thanks Darren, I always find a telephone chat is the best. Personally, I wouldn’t use anything other than LUK/ Sachs. Kind regards, Gareth.

  2. I did Gareth, but didn't hear back from them unfortunately. I'll maybe try again via telephone rather than the online contact form. OE is obviously best but I just wanted to know if there are other options out there that would be a close/direct replacement.

  3. I hate to be barer of bad news but the golden rule would have been to Check the car over before driving away. Have you got proof of the build you ordered? .you're only option is trading standards

  4. Neal. Gareth's theory is a good one, in which case repair could cost much more than £400 if the pistons and rods are damaged. Your mention of plastic stuffed into the oil filler pipe sounds like somebody tried to stop excess crankcase pressure blowing oil out, which is exactly what one would expect from a blown engine. Forget about ECU, warning lights and diagnostics until you have established whether the engine is sound.

  5. Darkside seem pretty good. For what I need they seem to be the best value for an uprated clutch with dmf.

  6. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 if it's from a dealer it's their responsibility to make sure these issues are fully rectified before you collect the vehicle
