  1. Fingers crossed they get you sorted and it’s nothing too serious. Bit naughty of them not to tell you beforehand though! 🙄

  3. Ah no! Annoying! What year is it? I had a Q3 before this and was impressed with it, had it for 6 years! Just wanted something bigger (kids!).

  4. Thank you.. yeah he seemed adamant but then who knows! The car has been through various checks in preparation for me to collect it, 4 glow plugs changed, brake pads etc. The guy said the tech who he spoke to was the guy who prepped the car for me to collect and he was pretty certain that’s what it would be but like you say, the light could come on for anything and we won’t know until we have the codes. Will know more tomorrow morning when our friend comes over to plug it in 🤞🏻 Spoke to the garage further, they’ll obviously sort whatever it is for me, it’s just a pain as they’re an hour away and can’t go until Monday morning!

  5. Problem solved - I found it and with the help of a coat hanger, bit of elbow grease and a torch. Managed to reach through an opening in the engine tray and got it after pushing it around a bit. Thanks for the help in the meantime!

  6. I think ibis white might have a cream tint but could be wrong. I know my dad's 2013 A3 8v had the free colour white which had the cream tint and think it could have been ibis white. I think the metallic white is glacier white.

  8. Looks lovely. If you bought it from a dealer then the faults you've highlighted are their responsibility to repair FOC within the first 30 days.

  9. Hi all, **update** sorry I haven’t replied back on this, so got the car back in early Jan 2024 with a replacement engine, clutch and dual mass fly wheel (as was easy to change during the engine change) and now runs and drives like a dream. the guys at the garage didn’t really investigate the original engine anymore, so sadly it remains a mystery as to how it got like that. just happy to have the car back and fully working, we are now mid March and all is well with the replacement engine now fully settled in. cheers Paul

  10. Did you escalate your complaint to Audi UK to Andrew Doyle Chief Exec, if you did not you need to address a complaint to him

  11. Hi Sean I store the jack and extendable wheel brace in a strong fabric bag which velcro's to the boot carpet, there's not too much room under the spacesaver widthwise. If you wanted to store in the boot I think the fitted plastic storage box between the rear seats and the spacesaver could be replaced for one from a b8 or early b9 which I believe has space for a jack. If one comes up on eBay I may consider it. In the LLL parts UK manufacturers diagram it's listed as number 5. Cheers Peter
